Well, hello!
This is so romantic. You, reading all about me while I sit, hunched over my device like a shrimp looking at the Internet. Yes, the whole thing. I hope out of all the blind-date about pages you’ve been on, mine makes you feel special.
Nice to meet you, I’m Rachel. I’m a Senior Social Media Producer at women’s media brand theSkimm, where I produce social content across platforms on all things women’s news, health, and finance, pop culture, and parenting. With strong editorial judgment and skills in creative storytelling, I keep women informed on the topics that impact them the most. Throughout my professional career in media, I’ve also helped develop and execute social strategies that have led to impressive growth, and conducted data analyses to further improve content performance and engagement across platforms.
But my real journey in social media didn’t start after college — it started in the early 2000s, and I’ve been an avid user since. From Myspace and the infamous development of “stan Twitter” (the fangirl to social media manager pipeline is so very real), to the fall of Vine and rise of TikTok, I’ve been part of it all. Through both this history and my job experience, I‘ve gained a deep understanding of different audiences, engagement behaviors, the cultural impact of media, and how to meet trends and moments head-on.
